Dash Door’s Specialty Service Group was called upon by O’Donnell Dannwolf & Partners Arch, Inc. to coordinate a Fire-Rated, full-glass – custom stainless steel entrance for a private residence in a penthouse of the Four Seasons in Miami. The design included custom “steel vine” artwork by the owner’s artist in New York City.
The entrance required specialty glass from Dash Door manufacturer partner TGP in order to retain the 45 minute fire-rating. Every aspect of the door dimensions and hardware selection was coordinated for impact to the artwork which had to be flown in for final installation. CAD drawings were exchanged and physical connection templates manufactured and exchanged between Dash Door’s local partner door manufacturer and the artist.
A Dash Door team delivered and supervised the frame installation by the general contractor’s drywall team and conducted final door and hardware installation.
The end product was a one-of-a-kind stainless steel entrance with which a very discerning client was more than pleased.
