Dash Door was tasked by Compass Office Solutions with providing a switchable glass solution for the corner CEO office at their prominent Boca Raton based investment firm client.

The elegant DIRTT demountable partition system and PrivacyVue® switchable glass paired well to provide a low profile 2-3/8″ top and bottom door rail / fixed glass framing platform with the following advantages:

1)  Highest level of privacy provided by the PrivacyVue® low-voltage platform; thus providing for complete opacity between the CEO office and the adjacent corridor (even considering back-light from the CEO office full corner office windows)

2)  Under-desk and hand-held wireless switching afforded by the PrivacyVue® PV-WS wireless switching system. The PV-WS2’s 900 MHz wireless technology employs “frequency hopping technology” to allow secure, point-to-multipoint communication. The PV-WS series provides several advantages over legacy frequencies including greater transmission distances, with line of sight capability of 500 feet. It emits a more robust signal through obstacles such as walls, partitions, doors or Low Emissivity glass.

A 3-point of contact door pull was coordinated via CAD drawings for PDLC film and glass lamination overlay accuracy.  Power transfer was routed to and wireless receiver was concealed within the drop and hard framed ceiling.

An aesthetic of dark woods and the latest generation of switchable glass was paired well to afford the CEO of this firm with dual accessible / private space.
