Dash Door was retained to furnish and install all impact and non-impact automatic doors at IKEA’s Sweetwater store. This location is a 417,000-square-foot store with 1,500 parking spaces at 1801 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL.
Dash Door’s Automatic Group scope included furnish and install of the following record-usa products as specified:
(5) Record-USA 5400 Series, Bi-Part, Large-Missile Impact Rated Hurricane Sliding Door Packages
(5) Record-USA 5500 Series, Bi-Part, Non-Impact Rated Hurricane Sliding Door Packages
The new store, which will be the Swedish retailer’s fourth and largest in Florida and is about a third larger than IKEA’s other South Florida store, located in Sunrise. The new store will feature nearly 10,000 exclusively designed items, 50 room settings, three model home interiors, a supervised children’s play area and a 600-seat restaurant serving Swedish specialties along with and American dishes.
IKEA officials have noted that they would evaluate solar generation potential for this store to complement the presence of renewable energy generation at nearly 90 of its current U.S. locations.
