Dash Door’s Glass & Glazing Group was retained by the General Contractor to remove thirty-six (36) existing hollow metal door openings with transom and sidelite framing which were experiencing corrosion.
Dash Door furnished and installed a replacement flush framed Impact Aluminum and Glass fixed storefront design with high performance insulated glass units at the storefronts and standard laminated impact glass at the doors (behind the aluminum face sheets). Dash Door provided fixed and operable impact louvers as well as engineered drawings and calculations for interactions between the various systems. All hardware was provided by our Contract Door & Hardware Group for integration and coordination by our partner manufacturer Enviralum Industries, Inc.
The final result was a hurricane impact compliant impact design with flush aluminum panel aesthetics.
