Univision – Fusion

Univision’s Fusion channel is headquartered in a newly constructed, state of the art facility in Doral, FL.  New York based Acme Sales Group contracted Dash Door to provide the specified “Magneo” silent sliding door system for the control room.  Quiet operation coupled with card access integration were the focus for this sensitive operations hub of the network.

A standard all glass automatic door solution would not do.  The designers wanted a high energy opening solution with the safety of a low energy closing sequence and push/go feature on the door.  This allows the door to be operated manually when it is unlocked.  Dash Door provided electrical locking in the VERY low-profile header, along with a fail-safe feature which would unlock and open the door upon signal from the building’s fire alarm system.  Dash Door prepared and modified Acme’s door panel as provided by the demountable partition supplier – Inscape, in order to have an aesthetic consistent with the project wall panels and existing manual sliding doors.

The client was pleased with the quiet operation as the automatic operator does not have a motor or rollers/wear items – the panel is moved through magnetic induction.
