South Florida Hardware Considerations

All exterior doors in South Florida require special attention to the hardware requirements of the specific product NOA or South Florida building Code Hurricane Product Approval.

Our Contract Hardware Group supports our field technicians by identifying the door type being serviced, so that there is an understanding of exactly which hardware types are permitted to be used if part replacement is required.  Each specific door type must use the hardware that was approved per the hurricane product approval in order to ensure code compliant performance under hurricane wind loads.
